| A little We Care history: |
It started with one man's idea that there are too many kids in America that
don't have all the things a kid should have growing up...even if it is only the
joy of waking up on Christmas morning to see what Santa brought. So he
decided to do something about it, at least in his little corner of the world!
His name is Toby, but we all call him "Puppy." The first time he did anything as
WE CARE was in association with Hooters restaurants to raise money for
Special Olympics,one look at those kids faces and he was hooked. About two
years later he met a few other guys who had the same soft spot for kids, and
for riding! As they say " the rest is history!" We began an informal, non-profit
organization to try to make our world a little brighter.
The core group is made up of Toby(Puppy), Bob(Skeeball),
Bobby(Backroads),Ed(Lobo),
Jodi(Jodiah), and Maureen(Mo). We have gained a few, and lost a few, along
the way but the core remains the same.
We have done a benefit for Special Olympics, a couple of benefits to raise
money for individuals in need, and St. Jude Research Hospital.
